MAGNUS SVENINGSSON - bass

Born Johan Magnus Sveningsson in 4 April 1972 in Falköping, Sweden. Son of Habo.

He has a sister born in 1968 and a brother born in 1973.

He was the lyricist of the Cardigans in the first four albums, while Nina Persson, as years go by, could found that place as a comfortable spot to be placed on.

While the Cardigans were about to start a world tour to promote Gran Turismo, Sveningsson started to feel bad, experimenting panic attacks. That made him to decide not to participate in any prospective concert or interview that the band would have in the future.

While he was dealing with that hard situation, his girlfriend dumped in Christmas. Although it could be thought that nothing good could come out from that, he found his own way as “Righteous Boy”. That is when in 2002 he released an album called “I sing Because Of You” under that name.

In 2002 the Cardigans gather to talk about their hard times during the Gran Turismo era and planned to make another new record with Sveningsson being part of the band once again.

During the hiatus of the Cardigans he is playing bass in a country style band called “Up The Mountain” and another different bands.
